How to Add a Profile to an Existing Account 


Adding profiles to your EKKL subscription is a convenient way to keep all your content in one place! This feature  is perfect for sharing with your family and friends as you can add up to 10 personalized profiles. Follow the steps below to get started: 


  1. Launch the EKKL app on any device and log in. You should see the "Profile Select" screen. 

  2. Underneath the ‘Who is Watching?’ title, click the left side button that says ‘Add Profile’. 

  3. From there, you can name and customize desired profiles. 

  4. Scroll to the button and click ‘Submit’ to save. The profile is now complete and ready to use!

Updating Your Account Information

Your Ekkl account security is important to us. Whether you need to update your email address or change your password, you can easily manage these settings from your account. Follow the steps below to make changes to your account information.

How to Change Your Email Address

  1. Log in to your account: Visit ekkl.com and sign in with your current credentials.
  2. Go to Account Settings: Click on the menu icon in the top right corner and select "Account Settings" from the dropdown menu.
  3. Select "Email Address": In the Account Settings menu, find the email section and click "Change Email."
  4. Enter your new email: Type in your new email address. You may be asked to enter your password to confirm this change.
  5. Verify your new email: We'll send a verification code to your new email address. Copy the code into the verification section. Until you verify, your old email will remain active on your account.

Note: Make sure you have access to your new email address before making this change, as all future communications will be sent there.

How to Change Your Password

  1. Log in to your account: Visit ekkl.com and sign in with your current password.
  2. Go to Account Settings: Click on your profile icon and select "Account Settings."
  3. Select "Password": Find the password section and click "Change Password."
  4. Enter your current password: For security, you'll need to confirm your existing password first.
  5. Create your new password: Enter your new password twice to confirm. We recommend using a strong, unique password that includes a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
  6. Save changes: Click "Save Password" to complete the process.

Tips for a Secure Password

  • Use at least 12 characters
  • Include uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols
  • Avoid using personal information like birthdays or names
  • Don't reuse passwords from other accounts

Welcome to EKKL! Here's how to create your account and get streaming in just a few minutes.


What you'll need


  • A device with internet access (computer, tablet, or phone)
  • A valid email address you can check right away
  • A credit or debit card


Heads up: You can complete sign-up on any device, but the EKKL streaming player on ekkl.com only works on desktop or laptop computers. To watch on your phone or tablet, download the EKKL app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) after signing up.


Step 1 — Go to ekkl.com


Open your web browser and visit www.ekkl.com.


Step 2 — Click Start Now


On the landing page, select the "Start Now" button


Step 3 — Enter your email address


You'll be taken to the EKKL sign-up page. Enter your email address carefully — this is where we'll send your order confirmation, password reset links, and account notifications.


Click Sign Up to continue.


Step 4 — Verify your email


We'll send a 4-digit verification code to the email address you entered. Check your inbox (and your spam folder if you don't see it within a minute or two).


Type the 4 digits into the boxes on the screen and click Verify & Continue.


Step 5 — Choose your plan


You'll see two subscription options:


  • Annual — $69.99 per year (originally $79.99 — 41% annual savings). The best value, billed once a year.
  • Monthly — $9.99 per month, billed each month.


Both plans include no ads, unlimited streaming, streaming on multiple devices, and access to travel discounts.


Click the plan card you want, then click Next.


Step 6 — Complete payment


You'll be brought to our secure payment page. Enter your billing details and credit or debit card information, then submit.


Step 7 — Start watching


After your payment goes through, you'll see a Welcome screen confirming your subscription, with your email address, plan, and first billing date.


Click Start Watching to jump into the streaming player on your computer — or download the EKKL mobile app to watch on your phone or tablet.


A copy of your order confirmation will also be emailed to you. Keep it for your records.


Troubleshooting common sign-up issues


The verification email never arrived.


First, check your spam or junk folder. If it's still missing after a few minutes, click Resend Code on the verification screen, or go back and double-check that you typed your email address correctly.


I got a message that says Account Found.


This means there's already an EKKL account using that email. Click the link in the message to be redirected to the sign-in page, where you can log in with your existing credentials. Forgot your password? Use the Forgot Password link on the sign-in screen.


My card was declined.


Double-check the card number, expiration date, and security code. Make sure the billing address you entered matches the one on file with your bank. If it still doesn't work, try a different card or contact your bank — sometimes they block unfamiliar online charges as a precaution.


The page won't move past the spinner.


Try refreshing the page. If you're using a VPN or ad blocker, temporarily disabling either can help. If you're still stuck, try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Safari).

Forgotten Password

If you've forgotten your password or suspect that your account may have been compromised, don’t worry! The quickest way to regain access and secure your account is by performing a password reset. Follow the steps below to reset your password safely and efficiently.

Step 1: Initiate the Reset

To get started, navigate to the login page of our website. Look for the “Forgot Password?” link, which is located just below the password entry field. Clicking this link will direct you to the password recovery process.

Step 2: Enter Your Email

Next, you will be prompted to enter the email address associated with your account. Make sure to double-check that you are using the correct email address to ensure you receive the reset instructions promptly. After entering your email, click the “Submit” button to proceed.

Step 3: Check Your Inbox

Shortly after submitting your email, check your inbox for an email from us containing a one time verification code. This email should arrive within a few minutes. If you don’t see it, please take a moment to check your Spam or Junk folder, as sometimes automated emails can end up there. Once received, input it into the verification code field and select the Verify button.

Step 4: Create a Strong New Password

Once you find the email, click the link provided to visit our secure password reset page. Here, you will be able to create a new password. We recommend choosing a strong and unique password that you haven’t used before. This is especially important if you suspect your account was hacked; ensure that your new password is significantly different from your old one to enhance your account's security. Select Reset Password when you are ready to proceed.

Step 5: Log In

After successfully creating your new password, return to the login page. Enter your email address along with your new password to sign in to your account. You should now have full access!

Still Locked Out?

If you did not receive the password reset email or are still unable to access your account after following these steps, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team. Check Spam/Junk/Promotions Folders

If you're expecting an important email from us, such as a verification email, and you haven't received it, the first step is to check your Spam, Junk, or Promotions folders. Email providers often filter messages to these folders to keep your inbox organized, and sometimes legitimate emails can end up there by mistake. Here’s how to ensure you don’t miss our important communications:

  1. Check Spam/Junk/Promotions Folders: Open your email client and navigate to your Spam or Junk folder. Look for any emails from us, particularly those sent from info@ekkl.com. If you find our email there, mark it as "Not Spam" or "Not Junk" to help ensure future emails land in your inbox.
  2. Whitelist info@ekkl.com: To prevent our emails from being filtered in the future, consider adding info@ekkl.com to your email whitelist or contacts. This action tells your email provider that you want to receive messages from us, reducing the chances of our emails being misdirected.
  3. Resend Verification Email: If you still cannot find the verification email, you can easily request it again. Simply click on the button or link labeled "Resend Verification Email" on our website. This will trigger a new email to be sent to your inbox.
  4. Wait a Few Minutes: Sometimes, there can be a slight delay in email delivery. If you’ve just signed up or requested a verification email, please allow a few minutes for it to arrive. If you still don’t see it after waiting, it’s a good idea to check your folders again.

Our profile settings allow users to create a viewing experience especially catered for you! Below, you’ll be able to find a brief overview explaining every feature in chronological order.


To access profile settings, simply click the name underneath the profile you would like to edit and you're ready to customize!


  1. Select Your Preferred Age Rating: This is a parental control feature that makes censoring content for varying ages easy. 

    1. Every new profile will automatically start with ‘Adults(18+)’ permissions. You can adjust this by tapping the toggle above the preferred age range.

    2. Age Ranges available: Kids, Older Kids (7+), Teens (13+), Young Adults (16+), and Adults (18+).

    3. Click ‘Submit’ before exiting to save. 

  2. Lock Profile & Parental Code: These two features go hand in hand, allowing profiles to be locked for general admission or privacy. 

    1. Before you toggle the ‘Lock Profile’ on, scroll down to ‘Parental Code’ to create a 4 digit pin. This pin will then be used to open the profile it is paired with. Please keep note of your pin as that will be the only way to access the profile after completion.

    2. Locking a profile with a password can only be done individually, so this feature will not apply to all profiles unless you manually set each one up with a lock. 

    3. Click ‘Submit’ before exiting to save. 

  3. Personalized Ads & Promotions: By toggling this feature on, you acknowledge that any advertisements displayed could be personalized to your preferences. 

    1. Click ‘Submit’ before exiting to save.

  4. Cellular Download: When you toggle this on, you will enable downloading content while you aren't connected to Wi-Fi.

  5. Selected Language: This is a feature that allows you to change the language of the app. 

    1. Language Options: English, Spanish, Portuguese, and French. 

    2. Click which language you prefer and click ‘Submit’ before exiting to save. The page will automatically refresh with the desired language. 

    3. If language does not automatically refresh, close the app completely and open it again to do a manual refresh.

  6. Selected Screen Size: How would you like to watch your content? This option allows you to customize your viewing experience while streaming. You will also have access to alter this while you're viewing your content.

    1. Contain: Sets the content in its natural aspect ratio. 

    2. Cover: Brings the content in so it fills the entire screen.

    3. Stretch: Squeezes the content so it fills the entire screen without losing anything on the sides.

  7. Time Setting: You will have the option to have your time displayed in AM/PM or the 24-hour-clock. NOTE: Time is only displayed on computers. 

  8. Submit, Delete Profile, & Back: 

    1. Submit: Saves all progress made and takes you back to the profile select screen.

    2. Delete Profile: Deletes the profile. All viewing history will be lost so ensure you're on the appropriate profile. This will never delete your entire account, just individual profiles.

    3. Back:  This button will take you back to the profile select screen.

  • Most Ekkl content includes closed captions for viewers who are deaf or hard of hearing

Screen Reader Compatibility:

  • The Ekkl website and apps are designed to work with popular screen readers

  • Our web platform supports full keyboard navigation

Audio Descriptions:

  • Select content includes audio descriptions that narrate visual elements for viewers who are blind or have low vision
  • When available, audio descriptions can be enabled from the same menu as subtitles during playback
  • We're working to expand audio description availability across our library

iOS (iPhone/iPad):

  • Go to Settings → Accessibility to enable VoiceOver, increase text size, enable captions, and more
  • The Ekkl app will honor these system settings

Android:

  • Go to Settings → Accessibility to enable TalkBack, font size adjustments, and caption preferences
  • The Ekkl app respects your Android accessibility settings

Web:

  • Use your browser's zoom feature (Ctrl/Cmd + Plus) to increase content size

Fixing App Performance Issues

Is the Ekkl app running slowly, freezing, or crashing? Clearing your cache and performing basic troubleshooting can often resolve these issues. Follow the steps below for your specific device.

General Troubleshooting Steps

Before diving into device-specific solutions, try these quick fixes:

  1. Close and reopen the app: Fully close Ekkl (don't just minimize it) and open it again
  2. Restart your device: A simple restart can resolve many issues
  3. Check for app updates: Make sure you have the latest version of Ekkl installed
  4. Check your internet connection: A weak connection can cause freezing and crashes
  5. Free up storage space: If your device is low on storage, apps may not perform well

Clearing Cache by Device

Android:

  1. Go to Settings → Apps (or Application Manager)
  2. Find and select Ekkl
  3. Tap Storage
  4. Tap Clear Cache (Note: "Clear Data" will log you out)
  5. Reopen the Ekkl app

iPhone/iPad: iOS doesn't have a cache-clearing option for individual apps. Instead:

  1. Delete the Ekkl app (press and hold the icon, then tap Remove)
  2. Reinstall from the App Store
  3. Sign back in

Amazon Fire TV:

  1. Go to Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications
  2. Select Ekkl
  3. Select Clear Cache
  4. If issues persist, select Clear Data (you'll need to sign in again)

Roku: Roku doesn't store app caches the same way, but you can:

  1. Remove the Ekkl channel (highlight it, press ★, select Remove)
  2. Restart your Roku (Settings → System → System Restart)
  3. Re-add Ekkl from the Channel Store

Apple TV:

  1. Delete the Ekkl app (highlight it, press and hold the touchpad, select Delete)
  2. Reinstall from the App Store
  3. Sign back in

Web Browser:

  1. Open your browser settings
  2. Find "Privacy" or "Clear browsing data"
  3. Select "Cached images and files" and "Cookies"
  4. Clear the data
  5. Revisit ekkl.com and sign in again

App Keeps Crashing?

If clearing the cache doesn't help:

  1. Uninstall and reinstall: Remove the app completely, then download it fresh from your app store
  2. Check device compatibility: Ensure your device meets minimum requirements
  3. Update your device software: Outdated operating systems can cause app conflicts
  4. Report the issue: Contact us at ekkl.com/contact with details about when the crash occurs

Amazon Fire TV / Fire Stick:

  1. From your Fire TV home screen, select Find then Search
  2. Type "Ekkl" using the on-screen keyboard
  3. Select the Ekkl app from the results
  4. Click Get or Download to install
  5. Open the app and sign in

Roku:

  1. Press the Home button on your Roku remote
  2. Scroll to Streaming Channels and select Search Channels
  3. Type "Ekkl" and select the app from results
  4. Click Add Channel to install
  5. Open the channel and sign in

Apple TV:

  1. Open the App Store on your Apple TV
  2. Search for "Ekkl"
  3. Select the app and click Get to download
  4. Open the app and sign in

Smart TVs

Samsung Smart TV:

  1. Press the Home button on your remote
  2. Navigate to Apps
  3. Select the Search icon and type "Ekkl"
  4. Select the app and choose Install
  5. Open the app and sign in

LG Smart TV:

  1. Press the Home button on your remote
  2. Open the LG Content Store
  3. Search for "Ekkl"
  4. Select the app and click Install
  5. Open the app and sign in

Other Smart TVs: Most smart TVs have an app store accessible from the home screen. Search for "Ekkl" and follow the on-screen instructions to install.

Web Browser

No installation needed! Simply visit ekkl.com in any modern web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on your computer, sign in, and start watching.

Signing In on Your Device

After installing the app, you'll need to sign in:

  1. Open the Ekkl app
  2. Select Sign In
  3. Enter your email and password, OR
  4. Select Sign in with code and visit ekkl.com/activate on another device to enter the code shown on your TV screen

Trouble Installing?

If you can't find the Ekkl app on your device's app store, it may not be supported yet. Check our "Devices We Support" article for a full list of compatible devices, or contact support at ekkl.com/contact.

Begin by entering the profile of choice. Access your profile settings by clicking the profile icon, located in the top-left corner. An overview of the available features is provided below.


Switch Profile: This will direct you back to the ‘Profile Select’ page.


Manual:  A mini guide to some special features available on the EKKL app. Such as profiles, favoriting, watchlist, and more! 


Subscription: A detailed overview of your current subscription. Includes personal details, expiration date, and supported devices.


Support: Contact information for our customer support team. Communication is only through our email and website.


About:  Information about this app on your current device. 

  • Includes an overview of the application, memory, storage, and internet speed testing.


Devices: Manage all your connected devices from one place.

  • Connect up to 5 devices at a time.

  • Disconnect any device by pressing the trash can icon on the right of the one you'd like to disconnect from.  

    • Note: Devices disconnected from your account will not be automatically logged out.


Logout: Upon clicking, this feature will immediately log you out of your account and will direct you back to the sign in page.

How to Report a Bug on Our Platform

At Ekkl, we strive to provide you with the best possible experience. If you encounter a bug while using our platform, we want to hear about it! Reporting bugs helps us improve our services and ensures a smoother experience for all users. Here’s how you can report a bug effectively:

Step 1: Visit Our Contact Page

To start the bug reporting process, you can either navigate to ekkl.com and click the chatbot icon in the bottom right of the screen to begin an automated ticket regarding the bug you found or you can go to https://ekkl.freshdesk.com/support/home and select "Submit a ticket" to report your bug.

Step 2: Fill Out the Bug Report Form

Once you’re on the contact page, you will find a form specifically for reporting bugs. Please fill out all the required fields. Providing detailed information will help us understand the issue better and address it more quickly. Here’s what to include:

  • Description of the Bug: Clearly describe the bug you encountered. Include what you were trying to do, what happened instead, and any error messages you received.

  • Steps to Reproduce: If possible, outline the steps you took that led to the bug. This will assist our team in replicating the issue on our end.

  • Device and Browser Information: Let us know what device (e.g., mobile, tablet, desktop) and browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari) you were using when you encountered the bug. This information can be crucial for troubleshooting.

Can't Sign In? Here's How to Fix It

Having trouble logging into Ekkl on your TV, streaming device, or web browser? Don't worry—most login issues can be resolved quickly. Follow these troubleshooting steps to get back to watching.

Common Login Issues and Solutions

"Invalid email or password" error:

  1. Double-check that you're entering the correct email address
  2. Make sure Caps Lock is off—passwords are case-sensitive
  3. Try resetting your password at ekkl.com/forgot-password
  4. If using a TV, try signing in on your phone or computer first to confirm your credentials work

Login works on mobile but not on TV:

  1. Make sure your TV or streaming device is connected to the internet
  2. Check for app updates in your device's app store
  3. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the Ekkl app
  4. Use the "Sign in with code" option instead of typing your password

"Sign in with code" not working:

  1. Make sure you're entering the code at the correct URL (usually ekkl.com/activate)
  2. Codes expire after a few minutes—request a new code if needed
  3. Ensure you're logged into the same Ekkl account on the device where you're entering the code

Browser won't let me sign in:

  1. Clear your browser's cache and cookies
  2. Try using a different browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge)
  3. Disable browser extensions that might interfere (ad blockers, privacy tools)
  4. Make sure JavaScript is enabled in your browser settings
  5. Try using an incognito/private browsing window

Stuck on loading screen after login:

  1. Close the app completely and reopen it
  2. Check your internet connection
  3. Restart your device
  4. Uninstall and reinstall the app

Smart TV Specific Tips

  • Samsung TV: Clear the app cache in Settings → Apps → Ekkl → Clear Cache
  • Roku: Remove the channel and re-add it from the Channel Store
  • Fire TV: Go to Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications → Ekkl → Clear Cache
  • Apple TV: Delete the app and reinstall from the App Store

  • Your full card number is never shared with Ekkl — Apple Pay uses a secure device-specific number, so your details stay protected.

  1. Select Google Pay at checkout.
  2. Confirm the payment with your device.
  3. Your payment is processed instantly and securely.

Good to know:

  • Google Pay is available on supported Android devices and browsers where Google Pay is set up.
  • You'll need at least one eligible card saved to your Google account.
  • Like Apple Pay, your actual card number isn't shared with Ekkl, keeping your information secure.

How to Cancel Your Subscription

  3. Follow the Cancellation Steps: Scroll to the bottom of the "Plan Management" page and select "Click here to cancel your subscription". Follow the prompted instructions and you will successfully cancel your subscription.
  4. Cancellation: After you’ve completed the steps, you will receive a confirmation email indicating that your subscription has been successfully canceled. Keep this email for your records.

Upgrading to an annual plan saves you 20% compared to paying monthly. Here's how to make the switch:

  2. Go to Account Settings: Click on your profile icon and select "Account Settings."
  3. Go to Plan Management: Select the Plan Management tab to find your current subscription information.
  4. Click "Switch to Annual": Select "Switch to Annual".
  5. Confirm and pay: You'll be shown the prorated amount due today. Your annual subscription will begin immediately.

How billing works: When you switch from monthly to annual, you'll receive credit for any unused days on your current monthly plan. This credit will be applied to your annual plan purchase.

Switching from Annual to Monthly

If you'd prefer more flexibility, you can switch to a monthly plan:

  1. Log in to your account: Visit ekkl.com and sign in.
  2. Go to Account Settings: Click on your profile icon and select "Account Settings."
  3. Go to Plan Management: Select the Plan Management tab to find your current subscription information.
  4. Click "Switch to Monthly": Select "Switch to Monthly .
  5. Confirm the change: Your switch will take effect at the end of your current annual billing period.

Important: When switching from annual to monthly, you will not receive a refund for the remaining time on your annual plan. Instead, you'll continue to enjoy your annual subscription benefits until it expires, and then your monthly plan will begin.

Everything You Need to Know About Payments and Billing

At Ekkl, we aim to make billing simple and transparent. This article covers how to update your payment method, understand your billing cycle, and address common billing questions.

How to Update Your Payment Method

If you need to add a new card or update your existing payment information:

  1. Log in to your account: Visit ekkl.com and sign in with your email and password.
  2. Go to Account Settings: Click on your profile icon in the top right corner and select "Account Settings."
  3. Select "Payment Method": In the Account Settings menu, find and click on "Billing Settings."
  4. Update your card: Fill out the box titled "Update Payment Method" with your new card details. We accept digital credit cards from all financial institutions.
  5. Save changes: Click "Update Payment Method" to confirm your new payment method. Your next billing cycle will be charged to this card.

Understanding Your Billing Cycle

Monthly Plan:

  • You are billed on the same date each month (the date you first subscribed).
  • For example, if you subscribed on January 15th, you'll be billed on the 15th of each month.
  • If the billing date doesn't exist in a given month (e.g., the 31st in February), you'll be billed on the last day of that month.

Annual Plan:

  • You are billed once per year on the anniversary of your subscription start date.
  • For example, if you subscribed on March 10th, 2025, your next annual payment will be on March 10th, 2026.

Common Billing Questions

When will I be charged? Your card will be charged at the start of each billing period (monthly or annually, depending on your plan). Charges typically process within 24 hours of your billing date.

Why was I charged a different amount? If you recently upgraded your plan, signed up during a promotion, or your promotional period ended, your charge amount may differ. Check your email for billing notifications that explain any changes.

My payment failed. What do I do? If your payment fails, we'll notify you by email and retry the charge after a few days. To avoid service interruption:

  1. Update your payment method with a valid card.
  2. Ensure your card hasn't expired and has sufficient funds.
  3. Contact your bank if the issue persists—sometimes banks block subscription charges.

I was charged after I cancelled. Why? If you were charged after cancelling, it's possible the cancellation was processed after your billing date. Please contact our support team at ekkl.com/contact with your cancellation confirmation email, and we'll investigate.

How do I get a refund? As outlined in our Refund Policy, subscription purchases are non-refundable. However, if you believe there was a billing error (such as a duplicate charge or an unauthorized charge), please contact us immediately and we'll work to resolve it.

Can I change my billing date? Currently, we do not support changing your billing date. Your billing date is set based on your original subscription date.

Please be aware that all purchases for monthly and annual subscriptions are non-refundable.

Once a payment is processed for a subscription term, we are unable to offer a refund, prorated or otherwise. This applies to:

  • Monthly Plans: Recurring payments made at the start of your monthly billing cycle.

  • Annual Plans: Upfront payments made for a 12-month commitment.

Note: We do not offer refunds for unused time if you choose to cancel your subscription midway through your billing cycle.

Canceling Your Subscription

While payments are non-refundable, you are free to cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future charges.

  • Access after cancellation: If you cancel your subscription, you will retain full access to all paid features until the end of your current billing period.

  • Example: If you purchase an annual plan on January 1st and cancel on June 1st, you will not receive a refund for the remaining 6 months, but you will continue to have access to the service until December 31st.

Automatic Renewals

Subscriptions are set to automatically renew to ensure no disruption to your service. To avoid being charged for the next cycle, please ensure you cancel your subscription before your renewal date.

Our founders and producers love their fans, but they're unable to respond to personal messages, calls, or emails. Please don't submit requests to speak directly with Willie, Korie, or specific producers regarding personal matters or business proposals.

Here, you will find a user-friendly form that allows you to submit your question directly to our customer support team. When filling out the form, please provide as much detail as possible about your inquiry. This will help us understand your issue better and provide you with a prompt and accurate response. Once your submission is received, our dedicated support staff will review your question and get back to you as soon as possible.

2. Use the Ekkl Chatbot

For a quicker and more interactive experience, consider using our Ekkl chatbot. The chatbot is designed to assist you in real-time and can help create a support ticket based on your question or issue. Simply visit our website and look for the chatbot icon, usually located at the bottom right corner of your screen. Click on it, and you’ll be guided through a series of prompts to describe your concern. The chatbot will then generate a support ticket for you, ensuring that your issue is logged and directed to the appropriate team for resolution.

Podcast Support

Owners can invite other users to collaborate on their podcast.

Steps

  1. From the home page, find your podcast and click the Manage Users (people) icon.
  2. Under Add User, enter the person's email address.
  3. Select their role: Podcast Delegate (recommended for collaborators) or Podcast Owner (only Admins can assign Owner role).
  4. Click Add.

If the email belongs to a brand-new user, they'll receive an invitation email with a temporary password. If they're already in the system, they'll get access immediately and a confirmation message will display.

Troubleshooting

  • "You do not have permission to assign this role." Only Admins can grant the Owner role. Owners can only invite Delegates. Contact an Admin if you need to promote someone to Owner.
  • "User already has access to this podcast." The email already has a role on this podcast. To change their role, see "Removing a user or changing their role" below.

If your podcast is consistently bumping against the default monthly upload limit, Podcast Owners can raise it themselves up to 50 episodes per month. Admins can raise it higher.

Steps

  1. From the home page, click the edit (pencil) icon on your podcast.
  2. Scroll to the Settings section.
  3. Update the Monthly episode upload limit field. Type a new number between 1 and 50 (or up to 10,000 if you're an Admin).
  4. Click Save.

The new limit applies immediately. If you hit your podcast's limit before the next reset and need more, email podcastsupport@ekkl.com — an Admin can raise it beyond 50.

Note: lowering your quota does not delete or hide any episodes already published this month — it just means future publishes are blocked until next month or until you raise the limit again.

You can change your password from inside the portal at any time.

Steps

  1. Click your avatar in the top-right of any page.
  2. Select Change password from the menu.
  3. Enter your current password, then your new password twice.
  4. Click Update password.

You'll see a confirmation toast at the bottom of the screen when the change succeeds. Your TOTP setup is not affected — you'll keep using the same authenticator app.

Troubleshooting

  • "Current password is incorrect." Make sure caps lock isn't on. If you've forgotten your password entirely, sign out and use the "Forgot password" link on the sign-in screen.

"I'm signed in but I don't see my podcast."

Ask the podcast's Owner to add your email on the Manage Users page. If you were just added, sign out and sign back in to refresh your session.

"My session keeps timing out."

The portal signs you out after 15 minutes of inactivity for security. If you're mid-upload, the timer pauses automatically — uploads won't be interrupted by the timeout. To extend a session, just click anywhere or scroll.

"I can't find a draft I just saved."

Drafts no longer show on the main dashboard. Expand your podcast, click All Episodes, and switch to the Drafts tab.

"I lost access to my authenticator app."

Email podcastsupport@ekkl.com. An admin can reset your TOTP setup. After the reset, sign in with your password and you'll be prompted to set up a new authenticator.

"I'm a Delegate. Can I delete an episode?"

Yes — Delegates and Owners can both delete episodes on podcasts they have access to. Only Admins can delete an entire podcast.

"I uploaded a new thumbnail but the dashboard is showing the old one."

Try a hard refresh (Ctrl+F5 / Cmd+Shift+R). Each thumbnail upload generates a fresh URL so the new image should appear immediately. If a hard refresh doesn't fix it, contact podcastsupport@ekkl.com.

"Why does the timezone field remember my last choice?"

The Podcast Portal remembers the timezone you last selected for an episode, so the next new episode you create starts in the same zone. You can always change it on each episode if you need to.

"Where can I see how many episodes I've uploaded this month?"

The monthly quota is enforced when you publish, but the count isn't displayed on the dashboard. If you hit the limit, you'll see an error message at that point. To raise your podcast's limit yourself (up to 50), see "Adjusting your podcast's monthly upload limit" above. For more than 50, email podcastsupport@ekkl.com.

"I need to change my email address."

Contact podcastsupport@ekkl.com. Email addresses can't be changed by users directly because they're the account identifier.

"What browsers are supported?"

We officially support the latest two versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. The portal may work on older browsers, but uploads and TOTP setup can behave unpredictably.

  1. From the dashboard or the All Episodes list, click an episode card to open its detail page.
  2. Update metadata (title, description, publish date, season/episode number) as needed.
  3. To replace the video or thumbnail, click the X on the existing file and upload a new one.
  4. Click Update (or Publish if the episode is currently a draft).
  5. To keep an editing-in-progress draft as a draft, click Save as Draft instead.

Replacing the video preserves the episode's ID, comments, and analytics; only the file changes. The runtime is re-read from the new file automatically.

Who can edit and delete

  • Owners and Delegates on the podcast can edit all metadata, thumbnails, and videos.
  • Owners and Delegates can both delete episodes.
  • Only Admins can delete the entire podcast.

When you upload a video, the Podcast Portal automatically reads the file's runtime (duration) and saves it with the episode. The runtime is shown next to the publish date on:

  • The episode card on your dashboard.
  • The episode list on the All Episodes / Drafts page.
  • The episode detail page.

You don't need to do anything to get the runtime — it's read directly from the video file when you upload. If you replace the video file later (via the Edit Episode page), the runtime updates to match the new file.

If you see a "—" in place of the runtime, the file's metadata couldn't be read. This is rare; if it happens, try re-uploading the video.

Each episode shows a status chip on the dashboard and on the All Episodes / Drafts list.

You can change an episode from Draft to Scheduled or Published by editing it and clicking Publish. Published or Scheduled episodes can't be demoted back to Draft.

Drafts no longer appear on the main dashboard. Here's where they live.

The main dashboard shows only published or scheduled episodes. This keeps the home view focused on what's live or about to go live.

To find your drafts

  1. From the home page, find your podcast and click the + icon to expand it.
  2. Click All Episodes.
  3. At the top of the episodes list, switch from the All Episodes tab to the Drafts tab.

You'll see all draft episodes for that podcast. From there you can click any draft to keep editing it, or publish it.

Tip: new episodes you save as a draft will not show on your dashboard, even though they were just created. They'll be waiting for you under the Drafts tab the next time you open the podcast.

Each podcast has a monthly upload limit that resets on the 1st of each calendar month.

  • Default: 30 episodes per month for a new podcast.
  • Drafts don't count. Only published or scheduled episodes count against your monthly quota.
  • Adjustable per podcast. Podcast Owners can raise their own podcast's limit up to 50 per month via the Edit Podcast page. See "Adjusting your podcast's monthly upload limit" below.
  • Need more than 50? Email podcast support at podcastsupport@ekkl.com and an admin can raise the cap for you.

What happens when you hit the limit?

When you try to publish (or schedule) an episode after hitting the limit, you'll see an error:

"This podcast has reached its monthly upload limit. To request more, contact podcast support at podcastsupport@ekkl.com."

You can still save drafts; only the publish/schedule step is blocked.

Open a podcast and click the Reports (chart) icon to see its analytics.

Content view

Available to Admins, Owners, and Delegates. Shows:

  • Total plays per episode and across the podcast.
  • Listener metrics over time.
  • Most-played episodes.

Financial view

Available to Admins and Podcast Owners only (not Delegates). Shows:

  • Revenue per episode and across the podcast.
  • Trends over time.

Switch between Content and Financial views using the toggle buttons at the top of the page. If you don't see the Financial toggle, it's because you're signed in as a Delegate.

Removing a user

  1. Open Manage Users on your podcast.
  2. Find the user in the Current Users table.
  3. Click the trash icon in the Actions column.
  4. Confirm the removal in the dialog.

The user immediately loses access to the podcast. If this was their only podcast and they're not an Admin, their account is also removed from the platform.

Last-Owner protection. The system will not let you remove the last remaining Owner of a podcast — at least one Owner must always exist. If you need to hand off ownership, first add a new Owner, then remove the old one.

Changing a user's role

To change someone's role between Owner and Delegate on a podcast:

  1. Open Manage Users.
  2. Locate the user in the Current Users list.
  3. Click the role chip and select the new role.

Who can grant which role: Owners can change a user between Delegate and (where allowed) Owner. Only Admins can promote a Delegate to Owner. Last-Owner protection applies — you cannot demote the last remaining Owner.

The Podcast Portal requires Two-Factor Authentication using an authenticator app. This adds a layer of security beyond your password.

What you'll need

An authenticator app installed on your phone. We recommend:

  • Google Authenticator (iOS / Android)
  • Microsoft Authenticator (iOS / Android)
  • Authy (iOS / Android / Desktop)
  • 1Password (if you already use it)

Steps

  1. After signing in for the first time, the portal will display a QR code and a setup key.
  2. Open your authenticator app and tap "Add account" (or the + icon).
  3. Scan the QR code with your phone's camera. If your authenticator can't scan, manually enter the setup key shown on screen.
  4. Your authenticator will start generating a 6-digit code that refreshes every 30 seconds.
  5. Enter the current 6-digit code in the portal and click Confirm.

You'll be asked for a fresh 6-digit code every time you sign in.

Troubleshooting

  • The code says "Invalid". TOTP codes are time-sensitive. Make sure your phone's clock is accurate (usually set automatically). The code on screen rotates every 30 seconds — wait for a fresh one if the current code is about to expire.
  • I lost my phone / authenticator. Contact podcastsupport@ekkl.com. An admin can reset your authenticator, after which you'll set it up again on your new device.

When an admin or another Podcast Owner invites you to the Podcast Portal, you'll receive an email with a temporary password. Here's how to complete your first sign-in.

Steps

  1. Open the link in the invitation email.
  2. Enter your email and the temporary password.
  3. The portal will prompt you to set a new password. Choose a password that meets the requirements shown on screen.
  4. You'll then be guided through Two-Factor Authentication (TOTP) setup — see "Setting up Two-Factor Authentication" below.
  5. After TOTP setup, you'll land on the home page with the podcasts you've been given access to.

Troubleshooting

  • The temporary password doesn't work. Temporary passwords expire after 7 days. Ask the admin or podcast owner who invited you to re-send the invitation.
  • I never got the email. Check your spam/junk folder. If it's still missing, contact the person who invited you to confirm the address used, or reach out to podcastsupport@ekkl.com.

The Podcast Portal has three types of users.

Admin

Platform-wide access. Admins can:

  • See and edit every podcast on the platform.
  • Invite new users in any role.
  • Manage system-wide settings (banner, audit log, reporting).
  • Delete podcasts.

Podcast Owner

Per-podcast access at the Owner level. For each podcast they own, Owners can:

  • Edit the podcast's settings (name, artwork, description, monthly upload limit).
  • Upload, edit, and delete episodes.
  • Invite and remove Delegates on their podcast.
  • View Content and Financial Reporting.

Owners only have access to the podcasts they've been added to — not all podcasts on the platform.

Podcast Delegate

Per-podcast access at the Delegate level. Delegates can:

  • View the podcast.
  • Upload, edit, and delete episodes.
  • View Content Reporting (not Financial Reporting).

Delegates cannot manage users or change podcast settings.

How roles are assigned

  • Admin status is set by another Admin during invitation.
  • Podcast-specific Owner and Delegate roles are assigned by the podcast's Owner (or an Admin) via the Manage Users page on each podcast.

Steps

  1. Open your podcast and click Add Episode.
  2. Fill out the episode metadata:
    • Title (required)
    • Description
    • Season number / Episode number (optional)
    • Publish date and time (in your local timezone — the portal remembers your last selection)
  3. Upload a thumbnail image. The portal automatically resizes it for the CDN; the original is preserved.
  4. Upload a video file (MP4 only). The portal reads the file's runtime automatically.
  5. Choose how to save:
    • Save as Draft to keep working on it later. Drafts are not visible on the main dashboard — find them under All Episodes → Drafts.
    • Publish to publish immediately (if the publish date is now or earlier) or schedule it (if the publish date is in the future).

Tips

  • Keep this tab open during upload. Closing the tab or navigating away will cancel the upload. You'll see a confirmation prompt if you try.
  • Need to upload another episode in parallel? Open the portal in a new browser tab and start the second upload there. Multiple simultaneous uploads are supported.
  • Upload progress is shown as a bar at the bottom of the form. The upload is complete when the bar disappears and the status shows "Episode created."

Troubleshooting

  • "This podcast has reached its monthly upload limit." See "Monthly upload quota" below.
  • "Only MP4 files are accepted." Videos must be MP4. If your file is in a different format, you'll need to convert it before uploading.
  • The upload stalled / errored. Refresh the page and start over. Partial uploads are cleaned up automatically.

Only Admins can delete podcasts. When a podcast is deleted, the following happens automatically:

  • All episodes under the podcast are deleted.
  • All user access records for the podcast are removed.
  • The podcast itself is removed from the platform.
  • Users whose only podcast affiliation was this one are removed from the platform.

The last point is important. If a Podcast Delegate or Owner had access only to this podcast and no others, their account is also removed when the podcast is deleted — they can no longer sign in.

Who is preserved

  • Admins are never deleted, regardless of which podcasts they had access to.
  • Users who are on other podcasts keep their accounts and access to those podcasts.
Before confirming a delete, the confirmation dialog shows exactly how many users will be removed, by email. Review this list carefully — once confirmed, the deletion cannot be undone.

Permanently Removing Your Account and Data

Before You Delete Your Account

  • Cancel your subscription first: If you have an active subscription, please cancel it before deleting your account to avoid future charges. You can cancel in your account settings.
  • Use remaining access: If you've already paid for a billing period, remember that you'll retain access until that period ends. You may want to wait until then to delete your account.
  • Data deletion is permanent: Once your account is deleted, all your personal data, watch history, preferences, and downloads will be permanently erased and cannot be recovered.

How to Delete Your Account

To permanently delete your Ekkl account and data, please contact our customer support team at ekkl.com/contact and request account deletion. For your security, our team will verify your identity before processing your request.

What Happens After Deletion

Once your deletion request has been processed:

  • Immediate: You will be logged out of all devices and will no longer be able to access your account.
  • Within 48 hours: Your personal data will be permanently removed from our systems, including your email, name, payment information, watch history, and preferences.
  • Legal retention: In rare cases, certain data may be retained for a limited time if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes). We will inform you if this applies to your account.

Changed Your Mind?

If you've recently deleted your account and want to come back:

  • Within 24 hours: Contact our support team immediately at ekkl.com/contact. We may be able to recover your account before the deletion is finalized.
  • After 24 hours: Unfortunately, once the deletion process is complete, your data cannot be recovered. You're welcome to create a new account, but your previous watch history and preferences will not be restored.

Video Won't Load or Play

If your video isn't loading or refuses to play, try the following:

  1. Check your internet connection: Ensure you have a stable internet connection. We recommend a minimum speed of 5 Mbps for HD streaming and 25 Mbps for Ultra HD content.
  2. Refresh the page or restart the app: Sometimes a simple refresh can resolve temporary glitches. Close the Ekkl app completely and reopen it, or refresh your browser tab.
  3. Clear your cache and cookies: If you're watching on a web browser, clearing your cache and cookies can resolve playback issues. Go to your browser settings to find this option.
  4. Try a different browser or device: If the issue persists, try accessing Ekkl from a different browser or device to determine if the problem is device-specific.

Video is Buffering or Low Quality

If your video keeps pausing to buffer or the quality is poor:

  1. Check other devices on your network: Other devices streaming, downloading, or gaming can consume bandwidth. Try pausing other activities on your network.
  2. Move closer to your router: If you're on Wi-Fi, moving closer to your router can improve your connection strength.
  3. Restart your router: Unplug your router for 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Wait for it to fully restart before trying again.

Audio Out of Sync or No Sound

If you're experiencing audio issues:

  1. Check your device volume: Ensure your device isn't muted and the volume is turned up.
  2. Try a different audio output: If you're using external speakers or headphones, try switching to your device's built-in speakers to isolate the issue.
  3. Restart the video: Pause the video, skip back a few seconds, and resume playback. This often resyncs the audio.

Error Messages

If you see an error message while trying to stream:

  1. Note the error code: If an error code is displayed, write it down. This information helps our support team diagnose the issue quickly.
